Sandriver Lodge

Sandriver Lodge, established in 1996 by Marc and Anneke May, is centrally situated in the village of St Francis Bay, Eastern Cape, South Africa. The establishment derives its name from the majestic Sandriver dune system that runs from St Francis Bay to Oyster Bay.

The lodge boasts a prime location, situated just 500 meters from the beach and within walking distance to shops and well-known restaurants. Golf enthusiasts will appreciate the 200-meter proximity to the golf course entrance. The property offers various accommodation options, including self-catering units and overnight rooms, all featuring en-suite facilities, private entrances, tea and coffee stations, and refrigerators.

Each room has been personally designed with its own distinct character, incorporating a simple nautical theme. The accommodation options range from double rooms to two-bedroom apartments, catering to single travelers, couples, business guests, and families. All rooms are furnished with comfortable beds and fresh white and blue linens.

Owner and chef Anneke prepares delicious breakfasts using organic ingredients, adding to the lodge's warm and professional hospitality experience. The establishment prides itself on creating a relaxed environment while maintaining high standards of service.

The surrounding area features five beautiful nature reserves: Cape St Francis Nature Reserve, Seal Point Nature Reserve, Seal Bay Nature Reserve, St Francis Field Nature Reserve, and Irma Booysen Flora Reserve. These reserves offer various walking trails suitable for different fitness levels, showcasing indigenous plant and wildlife through natural coastal lands.
