Saxe-Coburg Lodge

Saxe-Coburg Lodge is a historic Victorian/Karoo guesthouse dating back to circa 1853. It is centrally located in the historic heart of the delightful village of Prince Albert, Western Cape, South Africa, within walking distance to all the restaurants, art galleries, antique shops, and places of interest. Despite its central location, a rural atmosphere persists.

On the south boundary of the property, a vineyard of repute produces a prize-winning desert wine called "Soet Karoo". To the north, a neighbor has planted an olive grove with 500 trees. The accommodation consists of five luxury air-conditioned garden bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and spectacular views of the Swartberg Mountains.

Guests can relax in a 1-acre park-like garden with a swimming pool and stunning views of the nearby Swartberg mountains. The languages spoken by the owners, Dick, Regina, and Carmen Billiet, include English, Afrikaans, French, and German. The standard bedroom features an en-suite shower, double bed, pure cotton linen, flat-screen television, air conditioning, heater, safe, hair dryer, bar fridge, coffee/tea kettle, electric blanket, and private entrance/patio.
