Sea Cove Lodge

Sea Cove Lodge is located in Blythedale Beach, which is situated 45 minutes north of Durban on the Dolphin Coast. Blythedale is a small community with stunning beaches on an unspoilt coastline. The lagoon, which falls within the Umvoti conservancy, provides an abundance of bird life. The location is approximately 3 kilometers from the main beach.

The accommodation at Sea Cove Lodge comprises three self-catering apartments, each accommodating two people. All apartments feature double beds, with bed linen provided for convenience. The apartments have an open-plan layout, with the lounge, dining area, and kitchen connected and glass doors opening onto a wooden deck. The kitchens are equipped with built-in cupboards, a kettle, toaster, microwave, mini hobs, and a refrigerator. Television channels available include TV1, TV2, TV3, and ETV standard, with the option to hire a DSTV decoder. Each apartment has fans installed. There is a communal braai/barbecue area, and secure on-site parking is available. The accommodation has private entrances and does not allow pets.

Activities in the area include enjoying the beach, sand, and sea, as well as excellent bird-watching opportunities at the Umvoti River Mouth Lagoon, located 3 kilometers south. Fishing, musseling, and cray fishing are possible with the appropriate licenses. Kwa-Dukuza, the site of the Shaka and Albert Luthuli memorials, is 10 minutes away. Shopping options include Gateway Theatre of Shopping (45 minutes away), Tiffany Shopping Centre (15 minutes away), and Lifestyle Shopping Centre (20 minutes away). Other attractions in the vicinity include Ushaka Marine World, several golf courses within a 30-kilometer radius, Lake St. Lucia (a world heritage site, 157 kilometers away), and the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve (130 kilometers away).
