The cottage, known as 'Sea Fever', offers exceptional beach and sea views across False Bay to the Hottentots Holland mountain range. It is situated a mere three-minute walk from the picturesque Glencairn beach and tidal pool, making it an ideal location for safe swimming and various water activities. The cottage is designed as a perfect getaway for couples.
The accommodation can accommodate a maximum of two guests, featuring one queen-sized bed in the large, comfortable main bedroom. The bedroom includes an en-suite shower and bath, as well as built-in cupboards with ample hanging and drawer space. An enclosed sunny balcony leads off from the main bedroom. All bed linen and bath towels are provided during the stay, and the toilet is separate.
The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, stove, microwave oven, fridge and freezer, kettle, and toaster. It is supplied with pots, pans, cooking utensils, and eating utensils. Classy crockery and glassware complement this well-maintained and spacious kitchen. A large dining room table comfortably seats four guests.
The cottage offers a modern washing machine in the kitchen and a sunny wash line, facilitating easy holidaying. An iron and ironing board are also available for guests' convenience. The spacious lounge area features spectacular views through its top-to-bottom glass sliding doors that open fully, allowing guests to appreciate the sound and smell of the ocean. Comfortable couches, a small writing desk, and a library of novels and local travel books create the perfect relaxation spot. A television with full DStv access and a DVD player are provided, should guests wish to divert their attention from the stunning view. Free WiFi is available. During the winter months, a wonderful fireplace ensures warmth and coziness while the Cape of Storms lashes the coast outside.
Barbecue facilities and secure off-street parking are available for guests' convenience. The cottage is an easy three-minute walk from one of Cape Town's safest swimming beaches, which also features a tidal pool and numerous small rock pools to explore. The beach is a popular spot for surfing, windsurfing, and kiteboarding activities.
