Sea Shack

Sea Shack is an eco-sensitive glamping resort located in Cape Columbine Nature Reserve, Paternoster, South Africa. Situated 95 minutes from Cape Town, this beachfront accommodation offers a unique blend of comfort and simplicity, positioned literally at the water's edge.

The facility operates entirely off-grid, powered by solar and gas, demonstrating its commitment to eco-lodging. While hairdryers aren't permitted, the site provides power points for charging electronics and offers free Wi-Fi, making it suitable for remote work. The accommodation consists of beautifully crafted wooden A-frame cabins, each uniquely themed and designed by artist Theo Kleynhans.

The resort features two rows of accommodation: beachfront shacks with direct ocean views and garden shacks cleverly positioned to maintain ocean vistas while incorporating miniature gardens. Each unit comes equipped with Cloud Nine mattresses and quality linens on solid wooden bedframes. The cabins feature kikoi curtains, glass-framed windows, and split stable doors. Individual private ablutions include water-saving toilets, showers, and hand basins.

Additional accommodation options include specially designed family units with enclosed patios and baby facilities, as well as tents fitted with twin beds, positioned in a private area. All guests have access to a fully equipped communal kitchen, shared ablutions with gas-heated showers, and a central boma (fire pit) area for cooking and socializing.

The location offers opportunities to observe marine life, including whales, seals, and penguins. Sea Shack provides a perfect balance between comfort and natural living, offering guests a chance to experience the beautiful West Coast coastline while maintaining environmental consciousness.
