Sea View Cottage

A cottage named Sea View Cottage is situated in Umthata, providing a relaxing getaway from the western world. It is a Fisherman's Paradise and offers guests the opportunity to enjoy the company of others around a braai area, taking in beautiful sunsets and a peaceful atmosphere while overlooking a magnificent, unspoiled view.

Sea View Cottage is located near the Umthata River Mouth, approximately five kilometers from the well-renowned Coffee Bay area. The cottage comprises two bedrooms, a bathroom, a lounge, and a fully equipped kitchen. Both bedrooms are furnished with a queen-sized bed and twin beds. The bathroom features a shower, toilet, and basin.

The cottage offers self-catering accommodation with a fully equipped kitchen and a dining room table where guests can enjoy their meals. The lounge leads out onto a verandah with braai facilities. Guests can participate in various activities such as river and rock angling, long walks, scenic hikes, tranquil cycling, bird watching, or simply taking in the view of the beach across the river.

From the beginning of August until the end of November, guests can witness whales heading south. A 4x4 or SUV vehicle is recommended due to the fairly rough roads in the area. The cottage recommends a minimum of two people for the stay. The Coffee Bay and Hole in the Wall areas of the Wild Coast offer numerous attractions, including fishing, hiking, swimming, surfing, cycling, horse riding, quad biking, and cultural tours. Guided hikes to Port St John's or Kob Inn are also available. Additionally, an annual White Clay 21km trail run/walk is held during the month of August.
