SEAesta is a luxury beach house located in De Kelders, Gansbaai, in South Africa's Western Cape. The property was discovered and renovated by Martin and Maretha Lamprecht, who transformed it into their dream holiday home after falling in love with the area's whale watching and natural beauty in 2014.
The beach house accommodates six guests across three bedrooms: the Dandelion main suite with en-suite bathroom, the Protea guest room, and the Fish room with two single beds, with the latter two sharing a bathroom. The property features an open-plan design with a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living areas, and a braai (barbecue) room opening onto a sea-view patio.
Modern amenities include full DSTV, HD TV, WiFi throughout, a sound system, and entertainment options including board games and a well-stocked bookshelf. The kitchen comes complete with all necessary appliances, while a separate scullery houses laundry facilities. Security features include an alarm system with 24-hour armed response and garage parking for two vehicles.
The location offers prime whale watching opportunities from June through December, with a marine telescope provided for guests' use. The property sits within walking distance of Die Plaat beach in the Walker Bay Nature Reserve and the historically significant Klipgat cave. Nearby attractions include great white shark cage diving, the De Kelders Drip Caves, Danger Point Lighthouse, and Gansbaai Harbour, making it an ideal base for exploring the region's natural and cultural offerings.
SEAesta has been recognized as a Best Value Establishment in Gansbaai by Accommodation Direct, reflecting its commitment to providing a premium "home away from home" experience.
