Sebaka Private Game Reserve is a Muslim-owned wildlife sanctuary located in Mpumalanga, South Africa, nestled between the Loskop Mountains and overlooking the Olifants River. The name 'Sebaka' translates to "the location of one or more resources," aptly describing this 3,300-hectare expanse of indigenous flora and fauna.
The reserve remained relatively unknown to the public between 1945 and 1994, when it officially gained private game reserve status. Since then, it has become home to an expanding population of African wildlife species. The property maintains a strict Halaal policy throughout its premises.
The accommodation offerings consist of two distinct lodges. The self-catering apartments include 6-sleeper units featuring two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a sleeper couch, along with fully equipped kitchens. These units come with balconies, BBQ areas, wood-burning fireplaces, and covered parking. A larger 12-sleeper apartment is also available, offering four bedrooms and four bathrooms, two fully equipped kitchens, and similar amenities.
The main Sebaka Lodge, available for exclusive hire, features 10 en-suite rooms and provides access to comprehensive facilities including an indoor heated pool, games room, central Salaah room, and garden lounge. The reserve offers various activities such as hunting, hiking, fishing, and game drives, providing guests with a complete African safari experience.
