Sempurna Estate

Sempurna Estate, meaning "perfect" in Indonesian, is a 458-hectare working farm and provincial heritage site located in the Little Karoo, just outside the historic town of McGregor and 15km from Robertson. The estate, dating back to the 1860s, produces wine grapes, peaches, apricots, and olives, while offering luxury accommodation in a spectacular countryside setting.

The accommodation consists of three deluxe Santai Suites and the heritage Kecil Cottage. The Santai Suites feature king-size beds with cotton linens, spacious en-suite bathrooms with underfloor heating, and modern amenities including Wi-Fi and television. Each suite includes a kitchenette and private patio with braai facilities.

The historic Kecil Cottage accommodates up to five guests with two bedrooms. The main bedroom offers a double bed and sofa bed with a full en-suite bathroom, while the second bedroom contains two single beds with an en-suite half bathroom. The cottage features a lounge with a large open fireplace, fully equipped kitchen/dining area, and private courtyard with built-in braai facilities.

The estate offers numerous activities for guests, including access to a 25m indoor heated swimming pool and gym. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy an 11km single track through the mountains, perfect for cycling, trail running, and walking. The property's extensive gardens provide tranquil spaces with mountain views, and guests can explore the working farm's vineyards and orchards.

Located near the Vrolikheid Nature Reserve, the estate provides excellent bird watching opportunities. The nearby town of McGregor offers art galleries, craft shops, restaurants, and a Saturday morning market. Local attractions include the Eseltjiesrus Donkey Sanctuary and several renowned wineries such as McGregor Winery, Lord's Winery, Bemind Winery, and Tanagra, known for its Grappa production.
