Serenity Du Bois Lodge is a premier accommodation establishment located in Marloth Park, Mpumalanga, South Africa, situated just 15-20 minutes from the Crocodile Bridge Entrance Gate of Kruger National Park. The lodge offers guests an authentic African bush experience while providing comfortable self-catering facilities.
The property features six uniquely themed rooms - Lion, Buffalo, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino, and Wildlife - each equipped with air conditioning and private en-suite bathrooms. While the lodge normally accommodates 14 guests, additional mattresses can be provided for extra guests or children. Each room comes with its own entrance, coffee station, and bathroom amenities provided as a one-time courtesy.
The facility includes a communal fully-equipped kitchen and a refreshing splash pool. Most rooms feature private patios with optional braai (barbecue) facilities. While smoking is not permitted inside the rooms, designated smoking areas are provided on the patios or under the communal Lapa.
The Reserve where the lodge is situated houses two main centers - the Trading Post and the Bush Centre - offering various amenities including grocery stores, butcheries, laundromats, ATMs, and bottle stores. Guests can regularly observe wildlife roaming freely around the property, providing an intimate nature experience. To maintain the tranquil atmosphere, the lodge does not provide television facilities, and noise restrictions are in place after sunset and before sunrise.
The rooms vary in size and configuration, from the spacious Wildlife Room that can accommodate four guests with its double bed and two single beds, to the more intimate Rhino Room suitable for two guests. Several rooms feature both bath and shower facilities, while others offer shower-only options. The lodge aims to provide a serene environment where guests can disconnect from modern distractions and reconnect with nature.
