Shayamanzi Houseboats

Shayamanzi Houseboats offers a unique experience as the first houseboats in South Africa and the only ones of their kind. The houseboats, Shayamanzi II, provide accommodation for up to 20 guests in en-suite cabins with plug points. They are situated on the shores of Lake Jozini, offering stunning views of the Lebombo Mountains and excellent wildlife viewing opportunities in the Pongola Game Reserve.

Guests will meet at the Jozini Tiger Lodge and be transferred to the houseboats. The rates quoted are for a two-night cruise and are fully inclusive of accommodation, all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, bar snacks, and bottomless coffee/tea), tiger fishing (in season) with rod, tackle, and bait provided, two daily activities (fishing and game viewing/bird watching from smaller tender boats), a lakeside bonfire on one night (weather permitting), a jacuzzi on board, and transfers from Jozini Tiger Lodge to the houseboats.

The Shayamanzi II features six air-conditioned, en-suite luxury cabins, each accommodating two passengers in either a king bed or two single beds. The cabins are spacious, well-lit, and airy, with large sliding windows from ceiling to floor. The experience promises the calm serenity of the open Lake Jozini waters, the thrill of tiger fishing, and the adventure of mountain biking in the heart of the Zululand bushveld. Shayamanzi is about taking time to appreciate Africa's special wonders.
