Sherwood's Country House

Sherwood's Country House is an award-winning Victorian country establishment situated in the magnificent Agatha mountains, 13km above Tzaneen in Limpopo Province, South Africa. Owned and operated by Derek and Daniela Wasley, this charming property is nestled among eucalyptus and pine forestry, avocado, macadamian and indigenous plantations, offering scenic views of the Wolkberg mountains (Northern Drakensburg range).

The country house features seven en-suite bedrooms, comprising two classic rooms, three standard rooms, and two deluxe rooms. All rooms open onto peaceful gardens, with the classic and deluxe rooms featuring additional amenities such as sitting areas, private verandahs, and cosy log fireplaces. The establishment prides itself on providing a home-from-home ambience with personalized attention to detail, including thoughtful touches like candlelit dinners and specially warmed beds.

Guests can enjoy various activities on the property, including tea in the gazebo, forest walks, mountain biking, bird watching, and swimming in the pool. The location is particularly convenient, being just one hour's drive from Kruger National Park. The property offers fresh farm produce for meals, and Italian is spoken on-site. The establishment maintains high security standards with electrified fencing, and smoking is permitted on the main veranda.
