Silo Cottage

Silo Cottage is a self-catering accommodation that was originally used as a grain silo, but after extensive renovations in 2001, it has been transformed into a stunning holiday cottage. The cottage is situated in the picturesque Bamboo mountain valley on a working beef and horse stud farm, approximately 200 meters away from the Umzimkhulu River.

The cottage can accommodate up to 8 guests and comprises three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a lounge area. The master bedroom contains a double bed, a single bed, and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in closet. The second bedroom, located in the silo section of the cottage, features a double bed, an en-suite bathroom, and offers spectacular views of the mountain range, farmland, and the river. The third bedroom, situated downstairs, contains three single beds and has a separate bathroom.

The lounge area is equipped with a TV and DStV capability, providing entertainment for guests. The fully-equipped kitchen includes a stove top, oven, microwave, two fridge-freezers, and a walk-in pantry, making it ideal for self-catering. Adjacent to the kitchen is a dining room that can comfortably seat 8 people at a large round table.

Visitors can enjoy the peace and tranquility of the mountain surroundings on the large social veranda, where they can savor sundowners and braai as the sun sets. The garden offers ample space for children to explore and play safely. The cottage is serviced daily, ensuring a comfortable and hassle-free stay for guests.
