The Sirheni Bushveld Camp is located on the edge of the Kruger National Park's northern plains within the Mopane Veld region. It is situated next to the Sirheni Dam, which lies on the Mphongolo River. The word 'Sirheni' is derived from the Tsonga language and means 'cemetery', referring to a type of elephant graveyard near the camp.

The camp's accommodation facilities and two bird hides overlook the dam, attracting a wide variety of game and bird species. Visitors have reported hearing sounds of lion and hyena, as there are often kills occurring at the dam. The camp is also home to a resident leopard that is regularly seen coming to the dam for drinking water.

From September 1, 2017, all visitors over 18 years old are required to produce a valid identification document, such as an ID, passport, or driver's license, upon entering or exiting the Kruger National Park. The rates displayed are subject to the number of adults and children staying, and quotes will include a 1% Community Levy but exclude daily conservation fees, which must be paid directly to the camp upon arrival.

The camp offers safari drives with experienced guides, allowing guests to spot various animals in the park and learn more about them. Family units are available, and children aged 6 and over are welcome to join the game drives. Accommodation units typically consist of two single beds and two bench beds.
