Slanghoek Mountain Resort

The Slanghoek Mountain Resort is situated in the Slanghoek Valley. It offers two walks for hiking enthusiasts. One walk leads to a lookout point and takes approximately one hour, while the other leads to a waterfall site and takes around three hours, requiring a 4x4 vehicle to access the starting point.

The resort features eight fully-equipped and self-catering chalets, ranging from two-sleeper to six-sleeper units. Seven of the chalets have an indoor braai area, while one has a fireplace. Additionally, there are 13 self-catering safari tents that accommodate two or four people, each with a kitchenette and an en-suite shower and toilet.

Recreational facilities at the resort include two swimming pools, a trampoline, a putt-putt course, and a jungle gym for children, all situated under a century-old oak tree forest.

Furthermore, the resort offers 15 grassed campsites with a stream running through them, located among the vineyards on the farm, approximately 800 meters from the main resort area. These campsites have access to a swimming pool, trampoline, jungle gym, and separate shower and toilet facilities.

The resort features two conference facilities that can accommodate 20 to 150 guests, depending on the seating arrangements, with catering services provided. For weddings with a small dance floor, the hall can accommodate up to 120 guests, while the chapel can accommodate up to 64 guests. Alternatively, the lapa can accommodate up to 100 guests for outdoor ceremonies. The lapa and hall are also available for year-end functions.

A self-catering chalet is described, featuring a double bed, an en-suite shower and toilet, and a fully equipped kitchen with both indoor and outdoor braai areas. Bedding and towels are provided.
