Sondel Beach House

The Sondel Beach House is a five-bedroom luxury holiday home in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa, located 160 meters from Solar Beach on the Garden Route. It has been providing excellent holiday accommodation for discerning families for over 12 years. The house can accommodate up to ten people and is tastefully decorated.

The property offers sea views, a panoramic view of the Tsitsikama Mountains, and the sound of waves crashing against the shoreline. A wooden boardwalk from the house leads to a breathtaking 5km stretch of golden sand and numerous safe swimming beaches. The views span across the bay, with the historically rich Robberg Peninsula to the right and the Tsitsikama Mountain vista to the left.

The accommodation comprises five en-suite double bedrooms with fine finishes, open-plan entertainment areas, barbecue facilities, and a solar-heated outdoor swimming pool. The house is tiled throughout, except for the carpeted bedrooms. Smoking is not permitted inside the entire house, and pets are not allowed. The home is not available for any function, and guests use the home and its facilities at their own risk.

During the December peak season, the minimum stay is two weeks, but these two weeks cannot straddle both Christmas and New Year. If these two dates are included, the minimum stay is three weeks. A refundable deposit of R 7,500 is required to cover breakages, damages, departure cleaning, and excessive electricity consumption greater than 100 Kw per day. The residue of this deposit is refundable within 14 days after departure cleaning and assessment.

The cancellation policy requires seven days' notice for a 100% booking deposit refund, except during the Peak December Season, where 60 days' prior notice is required for a 100% deposit refund, and 21 days for a 50% deposit refund.

The Plettenberg Bay Country Club Golf Course, a highly ranked golf course in South Africa, is located 5.5 km from The Sondel Beach House along the Piesang Valley Road. The house has five en-suite bedrooms, a solar-heated swimming pool, and is fully equipped for self-catering. Three bedrooms have both a shower and a bath, while two have a separate shower but no bath. Any two of the rooms can be configured with King Beds, and only the main bedroom has a TV and limited views towards the Robberg Peninsula.
