Guests can relax on the deck and watch dolphins play or the sun sink slowly on the horizon.

The thoughtfully designed interiors invite lounging about in an easy, barefoot style. The house is designed with entertaining in mind, featuring dreamy, cushy beds and sofas, and a wonderful jetted bath for soaking. Guests can sit out under candlelight and listen to the sea.

The spacious, well-laid-out beach house provides the feeling of an endless offering of comfortable social and private spots to take in the magnificent ocean views, watch the sea change color throughout the day, sunbathe, read, take a nap, and enjoy sundowners. The house is cleverly designed to accommodate every weather possibility, with cozy outdoor and indoor spots to gather around a roaring fire. The lounge opens onto a huge wooden deck facing the sea, where the gently rolling waves provide a relaxing soundscape. There are deep, comfy sofas in the lounge, perfect for reclining and enjoying a cozy fireplace with spectacular sea views.

The indoor-outdoor flow of the house is fabulous, with the outdoor terrace becoming an extra living space, wonderful for lounging on hot, sunny days. There is also a built-in braai on the terrace with magnificent views of the ocean. The well-equipped kitchen is a pleasure to cook in, but those who prefer to do as little as possible can simply sun themselves on the terrace and slip into the warm ocean water.

The house perfectly accommodates up to four couples or two families, with wonderful sea views from the main bedrooms, providing the perfect retreat after a hot day of surfing, swimming, or a relaxing walk along the beach, which is only a minute's walk away. The other bedrooms are invitingly cozy, and one leads onto a garden with wonderful views across the bay. There is ample outside living space for kids to play and enjoy freedom.

Located along the eastern edge of the majestic Southern Cross region on the Garden Route of South Africa, Southern Cross Beach House offers a self-catering holiday home for rental in the secluded village of Groot Brakrivier in the Southern Cape. It is a short scenic drive from Mossel Bay, just a touch further up the coast from nearby Hartenbos, and a quick drive to the paragliding hotspot Wilderness, and a mere 18-minute drive from George Airport.

The house has 4 bedrooms, 3 with sea views, one with a king-sized bed and a bunk bed, one with a double bed and a bunk bed, and two with twin beds, accommodating a maximum of 12 people (8 adults & 4 children). There are three en-suite bathrooms, one with a jetted bath & shower, the second with a shower, the third with a bath, and a fourth separate bathroom with a bath. The house also features a beautiful fully fitted kitchen, an open-plan lounge dining room, TV with DSTV, two super built-in braais (one indoor and one outdoors on the deck), a Webber, a large deck with sea views, and a big garden with a double garage.
