Southern Skies Elands Bay

Southern Skies is a spacious and comfortable holiday home situated on the beachfront in Elands Bay. It offers uninterrupted views of the famous left-point break and white sand dunes, the magnificent estuary of Verloren Vlei to the East, and Bobbejaans Kop to the West. Behind the house, majestic mountain views and the nesting ground of a pair of black eagles can be seen. The house is fully furnished with two kitchens, a dining area, a living room, six bedrooms, four bathrooms, and two wind-free, covered verandahs. It also features braai facilities upstairs and downstairs, as well as undercover parking for two vehicles.

The property is fenced in with a large green lawn and indigenous vegetation in front, which meets the fynbos at the fence and flows onto the river bank and beach. Elands Bay is a west coast wonderland, offering natural beauty, diverse bird and animal life, as well as marine life. Whales, seals, dolphins, and porpoises often visit the bay. Cuisine that can be gathered from the sea includes a variety of fish, mussels, crayfish, and clams.

Recreational activities in the area include stand-up paddle boarding, kiting, windsurfing, surfing, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, cycling, mountain biking, dune boarding, beach combing, hiking, bird watching, stargazing, and enjoying the magnificent Namaqualand flowers and fynbos. There is a jetty for launching boats into the sea, but no motorized craft is permitted on Verloren Vlei.

The downstairs house is fully furnished and has a well-equipped kitchen, as well as indoor and outdoor dining and living areas. It comprises three bedrooms, two of which have en-suite bathrooms and open onto a sea-facing verandah with views. There is a separate bathroom and an outside hot shower. The kitchen features a four-plate electric stove and oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, eat-at counter for six people, and a large prep area. A laundry facility with a top loader and tumble dryer is also available. All bed linen and kitchen cleaning materials are provided. There is a barrel braai and fat grid that can be moved to a favorable position, a large verandah with a covered section and an outdoor table and chairs, and an open-plan living room that opens onto both the open and covered verandahs. The property is fully fenced with parking for six vehicles behind the gate, and it features uncapped WiFi and security cameras.
