Springwater Cottages

Springwater Cottages are located on the Schoonzicht farm in the Ficksburg district, between Ficksburg and Clocolan. The area is known for its stunning sandstone formations and the autumn colors of the Poplar trees. In the summer, temperatures can reach the high 20s and into the 30s on hot days. During the rain season, the roads can become challenging and a high clearance vehicle might be needed.

The cottages are casual and rustic, yet offer the necessary luxuries. Each bedroom features queen-size or twin beds, with Goose Down duvets and 400TC Egyptian cotton linen. They are ideal for couples alone or couples with children. The kitchen areas have a refrigerator and freezer combo, a kettle, a toaster, a microwave, a small oven-plate combo, cutlery, and crockery. The living areas are equipped with efficient wood stove fireplaces. There are also outdoor showers with a view.

The farm is situated in a sandstone formation shaped like a horseshoe. It offers many areas for casual walks and picnic spots to enjoy a lazy afternoon. It is a working farm with large areas for children to explore in the open air. The farm's sheep and cattle are tame, allowing visitors to walk among them and enjoy their peaceful presence.

One of the cottages offers stunning views and is furnished with a queen-size bed and an en-suite shower. The kitchen is equipped with a two-plate stove, and the lounge has a cozy fireplace. Private barbecue facilities are available.
