St Fort Country House is a sandstone farmhouse built in 1913 that has been restored into a luxurious and comfortable guest house. It is situated on 2,200 acres of Free State mountain farmland, approximately 5 km from Clarens, surrounded by a stunning setting of mountains.

St Fort Country House offers five en-suite bedrooms, divided into two separate units. The smaller unit features two bedrooms, each with its own lounge, kitchen, veranda, and garden. The larger unit has three bedrooms, with its own lounge, kitchen, veranda, and garden. Additionally, there is a garden cottage with a self-contained kitchen and full bathroom. Guests can book individual rooms, either of the units, or the entire house when friends or families wish to gather.

The property features antique furniture, DStv, and all the comforts of home, making it a truly unique holiday destination in the area. St Fort Country House offers short hikes, the Mushroom Rock Trail, bird-viewing, and mountain biking in the vicinity. The Mushroom Rock Trail is a gentle two-hour walk that follows the Little Caledon River, providing opportunities for picnics and relaxation before gradually climbing up the mountain to the famous Mushroom Rock, from where one can behold the splendor of the magnificent view.

The family unit at St Fort Country House consists of two en-suite rooms with king-sized beds (extra length). The unit also includes a lounge, kitchenette, and a small veranda. This unit has its own entrance.
