St Lucia Safari Lodge

The St Lucia Safari Lodge is situated in a prime location, being on the main road of the town, yet a few minutes' drive from the wonders of the wetlands. It provides an ideal base for holiday travelers, offering a relaxed and exotic setting away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The lodge offers fully serviced self-catering chalets with en-suite bathrooms featuring both baths and showers. Each chalet has a private balcony, secure parking bay, and a TV with selected DStv channels. Additionally, the lodge provides Bed and Breakfast Chalets with bar fridges, coffee-making facilities, and en-suite bathrooms with showers. All units are equipped with air-conditioning, telephones, and hairdryers. Braai facilities are available upon request, and the lodge has a sparkling swimming pool with a luxury lapa where guests can enjoy meals.

The complex is well-suited for tour groups and families, providing access to various activities and attractions in the area. The lake and surrounding wetlands are teeming with diverse wildlife, including hippos, crocodiles, and numerous other animals. The area is renowned for its exceptional bird-watching opportunities, boasting over 520 identified species, such as fish eagles, hornbills, goliath herons, paddle-billed storks, green pigeons, loeries, narina, and trogons. The unspoilt beaches stretching for hundreds of kilometers offer excellent opportunities for snorkeling and protected swimming at Cape Vidal.

All safaris and adventure trips can be arranged from the reception desk, including game watching safaris, whale watching, turtle tours, snorkeling, fishing, hippo tours, and more. The air-conditioned chalets are well-equipped with a double bed, two single beds, an en-suite bathroom with a shower and bath, a dining table, and a kitchenette fitted with a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, microwave, kettle, and toaster.
