Staandakkie Guest Cottage

Staandakkie Guest Cottage is a charming and quaint self-catering cottage located on a working farm, approximately 15 kilometers from Bredasdorp, with around 8 kilometers of the distance being a farm gravel road that is accessible to smaller vehicles. The cottage is separate from the main farm homestead but close enough for interaction with the friendly hosts, should guests require assistance. It operates on solar power, eliminating the need for loadshedding concerns.

The cottage can accommodate up to two guests and consists of one bedroom with a double bed, one en-suite bathroom with a shower, and a kitchenette. Amenities provided include a TV, a heater, and a radio. The kitchenette is equipped with a stove, mini-fridge, microwave, kettle, cutlery, and crockery. Starter supplies of coffee, tea, sugar, milk, and rusks are also provided.

Outside, there is a braai area with patio chairs, and firewood and a braai grid are supplied. Staandakkie is surrounded by beautiful farm landscapes and is 2 kilometers from the historical Milkwood Tree on the farm Rhenosterfontein. Guests are welcome to take strolls and bring bicycles, as the bird life in the area is prolific.

The cottage is situated 35 kilometers from the closest beach in Arniston, 55 kilometers from the Southern most tip of Africa, and 43 kilometers from the De Hoop Nature Reserve, making it a convenient stay-over option for visitors to the reserve.
