Stanford Hills Estate is located on the historic Weltevrede Farm, situated in close proximity to the quaint village of Stanford. It is a tranquil retreat surrounded by fields of fynbos, vineyards, and olive groves. The estate's vineyards produce award-winning wines and overlook the restored original labourer's cottages, which now offer cozy self-catering accommodation.

The estate caters to both romantic getaways and family weekends. Guests are welcome to explore the farm and enjoy the natural flora and fauna of the area. During the summer months, visitors can take a dip in one of the dams on the property. Stanford is located approximately two hours' drive from Cape Town and has retained much of its Old World charm with its period houses and wide streets. The village is renowned as the Overberg's birdwatching capital, where a multitude of feathery creatures congregate along the shores of the Klein River and the surrounding indigenous Cape fynbos.

The Tasting Room is situated in a uniquely restored labourer's cottage with a large grassed area featuring a children's playground, including a trampoline, jungle gym, and swing, overlooking one of the farm dams. It is open seven days a week for breakfast and lunch. Guests can enjoy a meal from the chalkboard menu or create their own picnic, finding a shady spot to relax and enjoy the views over the dam while sampling the estate's award-winning range of wines.

The accommodation has a minimum stay of two nights, with a supplementary charge of 50% per cottage for a single night stay. The cottages have two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchenette, and a bathroom with a shower. The French doors in the lounge open onto a large private patio with braai facilities and views of the Stanford Valley. Additionally, there is an indoor fireplace in each cottage. The estate offers a large, safe play area with a jungle gym and trampoline. Horse riding is available, but advance booking is essential.
