Star Dam Lodges

Star Dam Estate is a self-catering accommodation located in a quiet area of the Dargle Valley in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands near the iconic Inhlosane Hill. The estate offers five luxury self-catering lodges, each equipped with gas heaters and serviced daily. Each lodge has a private pier that provides access to the water.

Guests can book each lodge separately or all five together. While the lodges are not connected, they are situated within 400 meters of each other, allowing guests to easily move between them. Free Wi-Fi is available to keep guests connected, as the cellphone signal in the area is poor.

A guided horse riding tour with trained horses is available on the Inhlosane farm. Mountain bike enthusiasts can enjoy numerous scenic routes offered by the Star Dam Estate. For those interested in water sports, three motorboats are available for hire, specifically for fishing and angling purposes. Guests can bring their own fishing rods and explore the estate from a different perspective on the water. Guests are also welcome to bring their own canoes or skis.

The estate is only accessible by 4x4 or SUV vehicles. Horse riding, fly fishing, boat rides, nature walks, and nearby mountain biking trails make this the perfect getaway for families who love the outdoors. Adults are advised to supervise young children at the dam. The main bedroom features a king-size bed, while the other room is a dorm-style room with four single beds. There is an open plan lounge, dining room, and kitchen.
