Starfish Villa

Starfish Villa is a self-catering holiday house situated directly above Shaka's Rock tidal pools and centrally located between Thompson's Bay and Salt Rock's beaches. It offers 180-degree panoramic sea views, elevated 250 meters from the beach and facing the breakers at Thompson's Bay beach. The property is secured behind a 3.0-meter high perimeter wall in a private cul-de-sac road with its own separate driveway, garage, and second parking entrance.

The Villa features an open-plan living room, lounge, dining area, and kitchen. The living area flows from one veranda to the other through folding sliding doors, ideal for dining and entertaining. The lounge has a full DStv bouquet, and Wi-Fi is available from the lounge and ocean-facing veranda. Both verandas are designed to alternate according to changing weather conditions.

There is a private pool stepping directly onto the main veranda with a comfort suite, cane chairs, a small bar, mini-fridge, and a concrete serving counter top. A second veranda leads off from the lounge through French doors, overlooking the breakers at Thompson's Bay beach and tidal pool.

Starfish Villa can accommodate up to 8 people and consists of a main bedroom with a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom/ocean-facing walk-in shower, two additional en-suite rooms (one with a king bed or two single beds, and the other with a double bunk), and a separate guest toilet. The gardens are walled and fenced to secure small, well-mannered dogs, provided prior arrangements are made.

The Villa is within a five-minute walk from Chakas Rock tidal pools and beach, three restaurants, a liquor store, and Ballito's town center is a 3.5-kilometer drive away. King Shaka International Airport is 20 kilometers away. Water sports such as surf swimming, surfing, boarding, canoeing, fishing, snorkeling, and beach walks are available within a 500-meter walk from the Villa. Other forms of entertainment are nearby in the Ballito area.

Guests are required to pay a base deposit, with 25% paid directly to Starfish Accommodation and the final balance paid 45 days before arrival. Bank details are provided after booking. House rules strictly apply and are published in the house, and guests must read the rules before receiving the gate remote and keys. Parking is available for two cars only. Christmas bookings require a minimum stay of 8 days. Party or rage groups must confirm arrangements prior to booking.
