Stay-A-While Guest House

Stay-A-While Guest House is centrally located in "The Avenues" in the quiet residential suburb of Edenvale. It is situated approximately 10 minutes away from O.R. Tambo International Airport, making it an ideal base for exploring the city and its surroundings, or as a starting point for a South African adventure. The guest house aims to create an atmosphere that makes guests feel completely relaxed, whether they are traveling for business or leisure.

The property consists of three interlinked and landscaped properties centered around the oldest house in Edenvale, built between 1911 and 1916. This historic house has been lovingly restored, with steel pressed ceilings and wooden floors serving as reminders of bygone eras. Stay-A-While Guest House comprises sixteen suites set in secure gardens with off-street parking and a large swimming pool for sunny Highveld days. The suites consist of one single room, twelve double rooms, and three family suites, all well-appointed with amenities such as DStv, kitchens or kitchenettes, clock radios, and en-suite bathrooms with showers and/or baths. Each suite has private access and off-street parking for guests.

All suites have access to wireless internet and DStv. Additionally, each suite is equipped with a fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, and a courtesy tray with coffee, tea, sugar, and creamers. The gardens boast a prolific bird-life due to the indigenous trees and nests, attracting various species such as starlings, black-collar barbets, Long-Billed Wood Hoepoe, Crested Barbet, Robin, African Go-away birds, Shrike, Mouse-Birds, African Hoepoe, and Hadeda's, among others.

The relaxing gardens, along with the outside gazebo and swimming pool, are particularly enjoyable during the summer months between September and April. This area also features a braai facility for barbeques and bonfires. The Benjamin Suite contains a separate bedroom equipped with a queen-size bed, wall-mounted LCD TV with DStv, a dressing table, writing desk, full en-suite bathroom, tea and coffee-making facilities, and a private entrance on the patio.
