Steynshoop Mountain Lodge

Steynshoop Mountain Lodge is an intimate country house located in a secluded setting against a dramatic mountainside in a World Heritage Site of the Magaliesburg. It offers a choice of standard and luxury en-suite rooms, all of which feature special comforts and extra attention to detail. Guests can enjoy a pre-dinner drink at the private pool, terrace lounge, or boma, all of which are positioned to offer spectacular views of the sunsets and vistas.

The guest house provides opportunities for spectacular walks and other leisurely pursuits. Food is a passion at Steynshoop Mountain Lodge, and set dinners are prepared with flair and personal attention. The lodge is fully licensed under the Liquor Act of Gauteng.

Guests can experience tranquility and service at Steynshoop Mountain Lodge, where they can drift off to the sounds of the African bush and awaken to the chorus of birds. The property features extensive natural game, including bushbuck, nyala, mountain reedbuck, baboons, monkeys, kudu, warthog, and leopard.

The lodge offers a range of on-premises activities, such as archery, croquet, tennis courts, volleyball and badminton facilities, a croquet lawn and implements, a boules set, a full-size billiard table, and an archery target range for guests to use. The upstairs luxury room, which is en-suite and under thatch, features a king-size extra-long bed (or optionally, twin extra-long single beds) and a large bathroom with two basins, a shower, and a bath.
