Stone Cottage

Stone Cottage is situated above the large Zandrivier Farm. It is located right on the side of a mountain with waterfalls leaping down from the peaks above. The cottage offers quiet accommodation in a beautiful setting, and it can easily accommodate seven people with three bedrooms and an enclosed back stoep. The cottage is surrounded by the Swartberg and Elandsberg mountains.

This comfortable cottage offers all the luxuries from home, in a completely private setting. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, oven, microwave, cutlery and crockery. Guests can enjoy the fireplace in the lounge and eat meals in the old style dining room. A large braai area gives views across the valley and of Seweweekspoort Peak. Grassed lawns invite children to play outside. A farm dam is only 300 meters from the house: guests can walk down and have a swim on warmer days, or draw mountain water from the spring a few metres from the driveway.

Zandrivier provides wood and freshly baked farm bread on request. Electricity is provided and there is cell phone reception.

The farm offers a relaxing environment. It is situated approximately 1200 meters above sea level, and it enjoys snowfall during most winters. There are walking trails on the farm, horse trails, lots of scope for mountain biking or biking into the nearby Seweweekspoort, and birders will have a field day listing the many bird species.
