Storms River Guest Lodge

The Storms River Guest Lodge is a double-story bed and breakfast establishment situated in the peaceful village of Storms River, located in the heart of the Tsitsikamma region, which forms part of the Garden Route. It consists of a building with 14 spacious, en-suite rooms, suitable for accommodating both small and large groups.

The top story features a large veranda offering a picturesque view of the Storms River Mountain Peak and a serene garden. The Lodge is within walking distance of various activities, including Tree Top Canopy Tours, Black water Tubing, mountain biking or segways, horse riding, and various hiking trails. For a more relaxing experience, there is a spa available for guests to indulge in pampering sessions, providing an ideal break from the daily routine.

The owner, who serves as the hostess, ensures that guests feel welcome and assists with planning their activities during their stay. The word "Tsitsikamma" is derived from the Khoi/Nama language and translates to "place of abundant water." The region is bordered by the Tsitsikamma Mountains to the north and the Indian Ocean to the south. The village is surrounded by indigenous forests, Fynbos, and commercial plantations.

The Storms River Mouth, known for its spectacular shoreline in the Tsitsikamma National Park and the starting point of the famous Otter Hiking Trail, is only 10 km away. This area offers numerous hiking trails and boat rides. After an exciting day spent in nature, guests can relax on the veranda during the summer months or cozy up in front of a log fire with a hot chocolate or a glass of red wine during the winter. Additionally, the property features a private swimming pool for guests to soak up the sun.

The Storms River Guest Lodge adheres to FEDHASA guidelines, and its staff has received training on COVID-preparedness, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), hand hygiene practices, social distancing, and the wearing of masks. The property is cleaned daily using mandatory disinfectants. Each spacious room, located on the first floor, contains a queen-size bed and is suitable for couples. The rooms have private bathrooms with showers, and the patios offer views of the mountains and garden.
