Summer Place Backpackers Lodge

Summer Place Backpackers Lodge offers accommodation options including private self-catering chalets and backpacker chalets with communal self-catering facilities. It has five Semi Self-catering Chalets, three Self-catering Chalets, and a Flat, each equipped with an en-suite bathroom, a kitchenette, and a TV. Additionally, there is a House with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lounge area with a TV, and a kitchen.

The lodge also features ten chalets with twin beds that share communal ablution facilities, a communal lounge with a TV, and a fully equipped kitchen. All guests have access to braai facilities and an entertainment area with a bar, a pool table, and a dart board.

Situated in Estcourt, the gateway to the Drakensberg, the lodge is an ideal stopover spot. The town is rich in history from past struggles and features many historical destinations. Nearby attractions include Weenen Game Reserve, KwaZulu-Natal Conservation Park, ideal for game viewing and birdwatching, and the New Fromosa Nature Reserve, which offers various walking trails and opportunities for nature exploration.

The basic chalets at Summer Place Backpackers Lodge feature twin beds, plug points, and shared communal ablution and kitchen facilities. Braai facilities and a communal lounge with a TV are also available for guests staying in these chalets.
