The Bonkolo Dam, located just outside of town on the Dordrecht Road, is one of the main sources of water for the area. The dam wall, built in 1905, was once the largest concrete dam wall in South Africa. The resort allows the use of the dam and water-related activities. Guests are welcome to bring bicycles or fishing gear, as the resort has a large property suitable for walks and biking adventures.
The Boat House accommodations include two rooms: one with a double bed and the other with twin beds. It has a shower/toilet, lounge, and kitchen facilities equipped with a fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, stove-plate, crockery, cutlery, glassware, and a braai (barbecue).
