Swartberg Guest House is located in Mill Street, a historical area of Caledon, in the Overberg region of South Africa. The guest house takes its name from the small Swartberg mountain range situated near the town, after which the town was originally named. Caledon is centrally positioned in the Overberg, making it an ideal base for exploring the region and a convenient stopover on the way to the Garden Route from Cape Town International Airport.

Under new management since October 1, 2016, Swartberg Guest House has undergone upgrades and additions to its offerings. The guest house aims to provide excellent service, great hospitality, and additional services that set it apart from other guest houses in the area. These services include spacious rooms with en-suite bathrooms, separate entrances, secure off-street parking, mini-fridges in each room, complimentary coffee and tea facilities, DSTV Premium package TVs, free uncapped high-speed Wi-Fi, laundry and ironing services upon request, braai facilities in an old cement dam area, and a lush, relaxing garden.

Additional breakfast and dinner options can also be requested. The management, Johan and Joy, strive to provide a "home away from home" experience, ensuring guests are as comfortable as possible during their stay at Swartberg Guest House. The guest house offers double rooms with en-suite bathrooms, each equipped with a bar fridge and coffee and tea-making facilities.
