Swartheuwel

Swartheuwel is an establishment that provides tranquil self-catering accommodation with breathtaking views of the Verlorenvlei, situated approximately 10 kilometers outside of Elands Bay. It is located far enough from the city to ensure a peaceful escape from urban noise, yet close enough to Cape Town for a convenient weekend getaway.

The accommodation consists of five self-catering units, each featuring an open-plan layout. Each unit is equipped with a queen-size bed, a sleeper couch, an en-suite bathroom, and a well-appointed kitchen area. The kitchen area includes a bar fridge, a small stove, a kettle, and sufficient cutlery, crockery, pots, and pans to accommodate three guests. All of the units face the Verlorenvlei, which is a popular destination for swimming and fishing.

In addition to the self-catering units, Swartheuwel offers a function venue that can accommodate up to 120 guests, making it an ideal location for weddings or other special occasions. The main building is equipped with enough tables, chairs, and crockery to cater to events of this size. While Swartheuwel does not provide catering services directly, they can recommend local caterers to clients.

Each unit is equipped with a queen-size bed, a sleeper couch (referred to as a "single bed" couch), an en-suite bathroom, and a well-equipped kitchen area. The kitchen area includes a bar fridge, a small stove, a kettle, and sufficient cutlery, crockery, pots, and pans for three guests. Units 1, 2, and 5 have a single bed, while Units 3 and 4 have a couch (a child-size bed). All units share the same patio (stoep) with beautiful views of the Verlorenvlei. Each room is equipped with a TV and DSTV (Access Package), as well as free Wi-Fi.
