Tamarisk B'B

Tamarisk B&B is a guest house located in the upper Glenwood area of Durban, South Africa. It is owned and operated by Gerhard and Yuri Duraan, who have successfully run the older Terebinte B&B since 2011. Tamarisk B&B features five en-suite rooms that are individually decorated to reflect the artistic and eclectic style of its owners.

The guest house offers a variety of room options, including the Honey Suite, the Piano Room, and the Penthouse, which is humorously referred to as the "tongue-in-the-cheek" room due to its unique outdoor shower. Regardless of the chosen room, guests can expect a tranquil home-away-from-home atmosphere while still being part of the vibrant Durban city life.

Tamarisk B&B provides modern amenities such as DStv, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi, as well as a lovely farm-style breakfast and traditional hospitality from the hosts. There is also a small pool where guests can relax or take a refreshing dip to beat the Durban summer heat.

The guest house is conveniently located in close proximity to several hospitals, the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and various shopping malls. Its central location makes it easy to access the beach, ICC, Moses Mabhida stadium, and a host of restaurants and bespoke coffee shops situated in the Glenwood area itself. The Elizabeth Sneddon and Rumbalow Theatres are also nearby, and the Durban Botanical Gardens are just a five-minute drive away.

Tamarisk B&B is approximately 3.5 kilometers from the Durban Golden Mile beach, making it an ideal accommodation for holidaymakers, business travelers, students, and hospital visitors alike. The hosts welcome children, but they must be able to swim or be water-safe due to the pool area being impossible to fence off, as two rooms are located at the pool.
