Tanagra Private Cellar is a wine and guest farm located in the McGregor valley, surrounded by the peaks of the Riviersonderend and Langeberg mountains and bordering the Little Karoo. It offers an authentic and peaceful countryside experience for wine and nature enthusiasts. The farm provides a farm experience on a wine farm with an upmarket level while maintaining its natural farm character.

Tanagra Private Cellar features four units or cottages as part of the main farm (Garden cottage, Loft studio, Bottlebrush, Gumtree), canopied by a majestic wild fig tree and with a pool in the garden. Additionally, there are two cottages (Hill cottage, Faraway) tucked away in the wild Karoo veld, each with its own private plunge pool. All units or cottages are tastefully furnished with open fireplaces, private braai places, and private stoeps offering stunning views.

Guests are welcome to explore the farm on various hiking trails, which extend into the neighboring Vrolijkheid Nature Reserve and are also suitable for mountain biking. Tanagra Private Cellar offers complimentary tastings of the wines and spirits they produce on the premises. One of the accommodations available is a charming and spacious one-bedroom apartment attached to the old Tanagra homestead. It features wooden floors, high vault reed ceilings, a braai place in the garden, and lovely views of the mountains.
