Tanamera Lodge

Tanamera Lodge is situated on the malaria-free slopes of the Sabie River Valley, offering luxurious accommodation and breathtaking views of the Lowveld scenery. It is centrally located, allowing guests to explore the Lowveld Panorama, including attractions such as God's Window, the Blyde River Canyon, and Pilgrim's Rest. The lodge is graded 4 Star and features beautifully decorated rooms with personal touches and attention to detail. Each chalet is equipped with a tea and coffee selection, a log fireplace for warmth during winter nights, and ceiling fans for hot summer nights.

With the Kruger National Park's Phabeni Gate only a 30-minute drive away, visitors can easily access this world-renowned Big 5 reserve for self-driven or guided safari tours. The area is a birder's paradise and home to birds such as the narina trogon and purple crested turaco. Activities in the vicinity include abseiling, white water rafting, hot air ballooning, microlight flights, elephant encounters, horseback riding, and more.

The lodge offers five magnificent Luxury Chalets, fully serviced and equipped with king-size beds, mosquito nets, stone baths, waterfall showers, fireplaces, and plunge pools. The two Honeymoon Chalets additionally feature open-door outside showers on private decks with outstanding valley views, as well as a sitting room and dining area. Each chalet is secluded, private, and surrounded by unspoilt indigenous bush, making Tanamera an ideal destination for romantic getaways.

The main lodge area is tastefully decorated and comprises a dining area, a lounge, and a comfortable bar area. Guests can step down onto the main deck where there is a rim-flow pool and enjoy exceptional views over the cascading Sabie River Valley. Meals are served in the main lodge area, on the candle-lit deck, or privately in the chalets or on the decks. Rates include dinner, bed, and breakfast.

The lodge outsources spa treatments, ranging from massages to reflexology, manicures, and pedicures, which are brought to the guests in the privacy of their own chalets. A couple's massage is an ideal option for a romantic getaway. All chalets feature king-size beds draped with mosquito nets, a stone bath, a waterfall shower, a fireplace, and all necessary luxury amenities. Each chalet has a private cold water sunken plunge pool outside with seating for two, and the chalets are serviced daily.
