Thabametsi Farm

Thabametsi Farm is a self-catering farm getaway situated more than an hour's drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria. It offers a tranquil and rustic environment with a focus on family-oriented and pet-friendly accommodation. The farm has various units, including two bungalows with three double rooms each, a living room/kitchen with a fireplace and DSTV.

All units are equipped with DSTV, indoor fireplaces, heaters, and electric blankets, ensuring cozy winter nights. During summer, guests can enjoy braai facilities in the lovely bomas under the stars. The units have fully equipped kitchens, and free undercover parking is available.

Thabametsi Farm provides a range of activities, such as swimming in the solar-heated pool, an exercise room with cardio equipment, an entertainment area with DSTV, a surprise games setup for kids, a jungle gym, a trampoline, and an obstacle course. Guests can also explore a fantasy garden and a thought-provoking labyrinth. Pony rides are offered for children, while nature walks, bird watching, a kids' bicycle track, and cycling for adults are available.

The farm offers tractor cart and pony rides for a small fee, as well as complimentary donkey cart rides. A coffee and craft shop on the premises sells local gifts, homemade products, milkshakes, various coffees, and basic necessities.

Thabametsi Farm is a true farm stay experience, with horses grazing in the paddocks, miniature donkeys, goats, ducks, chickens, turkeys for children to feed, and two tortoises to spot. Romantic dinners for two in the units or picnics for two can be arranged for an additional charge. No parties or loud music are allowed, emphasizing the farm's peaceful retreat from the city atmosphere.
