Thatcher's Rest

Thatcher's Rest is a thatched cottage situated within the Biggarsberg area of northern Kwa-Zulu Natal. It stands on stilts above the cool waters of a dam. The privately located cottage offers acres of land and exclusive fishing opportunities for guests. It can accommodate up to six guests comfortably with three beautifully furnished bedrooms and three bathrooms.

The unique accommodation is completely surrounded by the lake, with each window providing unobstructed views of the lake and land stretching out for miles. The lounge features a fireplace for cozy winter evenings, ideal for relaxing with a good book. The kitchen overlooks the lounge and is fully equipped. Meals can be served outside on the undercover balcony, which can be enclosed with blinds, offering the best of both indoor and outdoor experiences.

The cottage is equipped with a gas stove and fridge, and the lights and power points are powered by a remote-controlled generator. The dam on which the cottage is situated offers excellent bass and trout fishing opportunities. There are a total of six stocked dams on the farm, all of which are available for guests staying in the cottage. Additionally, a bass boat is available, and other activities on the farm include walking and bird-watching.

The Cottage comprises three double bedrooms and three bathrooms, two of which are en-suite.
