The Bell @ Fernwood

The Bell is a three-bedroom, six-sleeper chalet located in Fernwood, situated at the foothills of the majestic Cathkin Peak. It is surrounded by the small town, free-roaming game, and the privacy of the Champagne Valley. The Bell underwent a minor renovation in October 2013 and has received a four-star rating from the South African Tourism Grading.

The chalet features a spacious open-plan living area that leads onto a cozy veranda with amazing views, providing an instant connection to the Berg life. The well-equipped kitchen and daily cleaning services offer a relaxing experience. The Bell is privately situated, and no other units are visible from the house.

For cold winter nights, the chalet is equipped with a fireplace, underfloor heating in the main bedroom and bathroom, and electric heaters in all other bedrooms. Wild antelope and birds can be seen feeding on the lawn during early mornings.

Fernwood consists of 230 hectares of pristine mountain property adjacent to the UNESCO Ukhalamba World Heritage Park. The Bell is the only commercially rentable chalet in this private development. It is "the best of the Berg." No pets are allowed on the premises.
