The Cradle Rest is a destination located adjacent to the Cradle of Humankind, offering accommodation and facilities for guests visiting Kromdraai. The property features five en-suite guest rooms with various bed configurations to accommodate travelers' needs, as well as two suites and one cottage suitable for families or groups, with access to private or communal kitchens.

Guests can spend their days exploring the scenic surroundings by taking walks or enjoying refreshing dips in the swimming pool. Business travelers can utilize the available conference facilities, while couples have the opportunity to exchange vows against a picturesque backdrop. The free-roaming animals on the property create a unique opportunity for families to get closer to nature. The Cradle Rest also features a function room capable of accommodating up to 200 guests, as well as an outdoor area with Bedouin-style tents and a landscaped lawn. The four-sleeper rooms are equipped with one double bed and two single beds, private bathrooms, and small kitchenettes. The rooms are also fitted with TVs and complimentary tea/coffee trays. The bathrooms are stocked with soaps and towels. Breakfast is available at an additional cost of R60.00 per person.
