The Explorers Club, Franschhoek

The Explorers Club, Franschhoek is a four-bedroom home that can accommodate up to six adults and four children. It is the flagship property in the Explorers Club's collection of places to stay. The home has been designed with adventure in mind, featuring an open-plan kitchen, living, dining area, and an enclosed veranda that opens out onto a large pool and garden with mountain views.

The four bedrooms consist of two double en-suite bedrooms, one twin loft room, and one en-suite children's room. The twin room is tucked into the eaves of the original building. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom, and an adjoining room with a camp cot. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The third loft bedroom has two single beds with an option for a king-size bed, and a bath and basin. The fourth en-suite bedroom has bunk beds and an additional single bed with a pull-out mattress.

Built on the spot where the original railway ticket office stood in the center of Franschhoek village, the Explorers Club's eclectic Africana decor retains the atmosphere of the eternal traveler. The home is family-friendly, with a children's room, a large family pool with a net cover, some pool toys, and children's books. It is fully equipped for self-catering.
