The Fat Mulberry Guest Farm

The Fat Mulberry Guest Farm is a luxurious self-catering accommodation situated in the tranquil farmland of the Eastern Free State, offering breath-taking views of the Maloti Mountains. It is located just outside the town of Fouriesburg and in close proximity to the renowned areas of Clarens and Afri-Ski.

The establishment consists of 5 stylish apartments, providing an idyllic option for business people, couples seeking a romantic getaway, and gatherings of families and friends. It can accommodate up to 24 adults, in addition to young children on mattresses or in cots. Each boutique-style apartment is individually decorated with beautiful and unique furnishings.

All the apartments are equipped with fireplaces, electric blankets for cold winter evenings, Wi-Fi, DSTV, and braai facilities to ensure guests have a wonderful stay. The Fat Mulberry Guest Farm also offers a wedding venue that can accommodate 50 guests with a dance floor or 60 guests without a dance floor, making it a perfect venue for small, intimate weddings.

Additional services include couple massages by a lady named Janette, which can be booked in advance. Romantic turn down service with champagne and rose petals is available at an extra charge for those seeking a more romantic experience. Picnics and special dinners can also be arranged upon inquiry.

The farm provides an enjoyable experience for young guests, who can feed the farm animals and take advantage of the ample space for running and playing. One of the rooms, the Chameleon room, is cozy and suitable for a solo traveler spending a night or two, particularly for business trip stopovers. It features DStv, a small fridge, kettle, shower, and a fireplace for the colder months.
