Situated at the Mbashe River mouth, The Haven has established itself as one of South Africa's premier fishing destinations. Guests can engage in various activities including horse riding, tennis, golf, hiking, birdwatching, canoeing, whale and dolphin watching, snorkelling, and 4x4 dirt trails.

The accommodation consists of cottages and rondavels positioned approximately 200 meters from the sea, surrounding the main hotel. Guests can choose between Seafacing and Garden rooms, each equipped with either double or twin beds, a queen-size bed option, bath, shower, and tea and coffee facilities with balcony views. The hotel offers special weekend packages for two-night stays, featuring a seafood buffet on Saturdays and a traditional braai on Sunday evenings.
