The Mayflower

The Mayflower is located in Hermanus and offers views of the surrounding mountains from the decks. The accommodation comprises two self-catering cabins, each accommodating two to three guests. Each cabin features a kitchenette with bar fridges, kettles, microwaves, and a weber braai. Linen and towels are provided, and there is off-street parking and a private entrance. A swimming pool is also available.

The cabins are within walking distance of the beach, shops, and restaurants. They are situated in the historic Flower Street, where the Maple Leaf Bakery was once located. The cabins offer lovely outlooks and decks for enjoying romantic evenings, watching the sunrise or sunset, and listening to the sound of crashing waves and whale blows in the distance, during the season.

The Port Side Cabin has a king-size bed or twin beds, and a sleeper couch. The unit measures 38 square meters in size. The kitchenette is fully equipped for four persons, with an under-counter fridge, toaster, kettle, induction cooker with pots, and a gas grill on the deck. The en-suite galley bathroom has a step-in shower cubicle, a toilet, and a basin. The cabin is upstairs and offers lovely views of the surrounding village and mountains from the north-facing sunny deck and the bedroom window. The original wooden floors, once part of the Maple Leaf Bakery, have been beautifully restored, lending the Mayflower a special holiday feeling. The Port Side Cabin has a sleeper couch that can accommodate children over 5 years old or an additional adult at a rate of R200 per person, which will be added to the quotation upon request.

For families of four or five with adult children, it is possible to rent both the Port and Starboard Cabins together, as they are situated next to each other.
