The Old Post Office Lodge

The Old Post Office Lodge is a vibrant Bed & Breakfast establishment situated in Wilderness, Garden Route, South Africa. The transformed post office building now houses six individually decorated rooms and features the popular Pomodoro restaurant on the ground floor. The lodge's central location provides easy access to the N2 highway, making it an ideal base for exploring the Garden Route, with beaches, shops, and restaurants all within a five-minute walking distance.

Each room is well-appointed with modern amenities including en-suite bathrooms, balconies with furniture, DSTV with hotel bouquet, coffee/tea making facilities, bar fridges, hairdryers, and ceiling fans. All rooms feature free Wi-Fi connectivity and come with allocated open parking adjacent to the building. The rooms can accommodate a maximum of two guests each, with some offering queen-size beds and others providing twin bed options.

During peak season, breakfast is not included in the rates due to the restaurant's high occupancy. Guests can enjoy sundowners or morning coffee on their balconies while overlooking the bustling village. While the establishment acknowledges its lively atmosphere, it offers an authentic experience of Wilderness's vibrant character.

The Garden Route region presents excellent weather conditions and numerous activities for visitors. These include hiking, biking, canoeing, and golfing at world-class courses such as Fancourt, Pezula, Pinnacle Point, and Oubaai. Nearby attractions include the towns of Knysna and Plettenberg Bay, shark cage diving in Mossel Bay, ostrich farms and Cango Caves in Oudtshoorn, as well as opportunities for abseiling, paragliding, shopping, and scenic drives.
