The Owl Nest House, also known as Die Uilnes Huis, is situated on the outskirts of the artistic town of Nieu Bethesda in the Karoo region. It is surrounded by agricultural fields, groves, and mountains, and is just a short 300-meter walk from the renowned Owl House. The property maintains the aesthetic characteristics of a classic Karoo 'barn' design, featuring old Oregon pine wooden floors and Oregon window frames, while offering a practical modern layout and contemporary amenities.

The house can accommodate up to eight guests, with space for six adults and two additional bunk beds, ideal for children. It comprises three bedrooms and two en-suite bathrooms. Two of the three bedrooms offer flexible bedding arrangements, allowing for either two single beds or a king-size setup, suitable for longer stays. The main bedroom is equipped with a double bed. The two en-suite bathrooms provide an ideal setup for two couples and four children. Towels, bedding, coffee, and tea are provided.

The kitchen is well-equipped with a dishwasher, two refrigerators/freezers, a stove, an oven, and ample crockery and cutlery for 12 people. A high-end slow-burning fireplace, various heaters, and electric blankets ensure warmth during the cold Bethesda nights. Both bathrooms feature a shower and a bathtub.

In addition to the elevated braai/entertainment area, the Owl Nest House offers a cozy downstairs lounge area with a bar, as well as a separate upstairs TV room for children. The property provides breathtaking views of the adjacent fields, groves, Kompasberg, and the historical Dutch Reformed Church, particularly from the upstairs braai room, which can seat up to 14 people around a four-meter-long yellow wood table. The canvas blinds in this area can be opened or closed, making it suitable for use during both winter and summer.
