The Royal Courtyard

The Royal Courtyard Accommodation and Conference Centre is a three-star graded establishment located on Main Street in Matatiele, next to the Pick n Pay Shopping Centre. It is in close proximity to medical facilities, the Court House, Municipal Offices, and other amenities. The hotel, originally built in 1919, is steeped in history and is the largest in the area with approximately 70 rooms and three conference facilities. It offers guests a choice of Standard, Deluxe, Luxury, and VIP Rooms.

All rooms are en-suite and equipped with an electric blanket, kettle, microwave, iron, air conditioning, DStv (hotel bouquet), hair dryer, shaving mirror, writing desk, bar fridge, and wardrobe. The VIP rooms additionally feature a bathtub and a separate lounge area. Covered parking is available behind access-controlled gates, and free WiFi is provided throughout the establishment. The hotel also has an in-house restaurant, although no alcohol is served.

The on-site Beauty Spa offers various services, including waxing, facials, Thai massages, massage chairs, pedicures, and acrylic/gel nail treatments. All rooms are en-suite and equipped with DStv, microwave ovens, bar fridges, kettles, electric blankets, hair dryers, shaving mirrors, air conditioning units, full-length mirrors, ironing stations, writing desks, and modern wardrobes.
