The Royal Hotel

The Royal Hotel is the oldest colonial hotel in the Western Cape, located in Riebeek Kasteel, a village that forms part of the picturesque and tranquil Riebeek Valley, which is a part of the Wineland route. It offers luxurious accommodation that has been recently upgraded to the highest five-star standards, with rooms featuring amenities such as air conditioning, TV, DSTV, DVD, internet connection, mini bar, en-suite bathrooms with separate bath, shower, toilet, underfloor heating, heated towel rails, and Charlot Rhys bath and body products, as well as room service.

The hotel features a 150-year-old colonial bar adjacent to the restaurant, a pool bar catering to the pool, garden, and outside lounge areas, and a verandah that was named the longest verandah south of the Limpopo by the South African government when the hotel was listed as one of the 50 Most Fabulous Places to visit in the country. The Royal Hotel is a popular venue for weddings and conferences, accommodating up to 120 delegates, and offers professional coordination services on-site as well as maintaining close relationships with wedding planners. In 2009, the hotel was chosen as one of the most beautiful wedding venues by the Wine Magazine.
