The Thatches

The Thatches is an AA Highly Recommended self-catering resort situated within walking distance of pristine beaches, the Kei River estuary, and a charming town named after the great river's mouth. The resort features spacious thatch-roof cabanas nestled in the natural beauty of the Wild Coast, offering various accommodation options to suit different group sizes.

The accommodation ranges from the Twosome, an open-plan unit ideal for couples or solo travelers, to the Family Four cabanas with two bedrooms. The Super Six chalets accommodate larger groups with two rooms containing double-bunk beds and a double bed. A Deluxe option provides enhanced comfort with en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning, while the Super Five chalet offers a combination of double-bunk, single, and double beds. The Main House provides a more luxurious stay with two en-suite bedrooms, comprehensive amenities including a washing machine, tumble dryer, and indoor braai facilities.

All cabanas come equipped with private bathrooms, well-appointed kitchens, living areas with televisions, and gas braai facilities. The resort provides complimentary cleaning services six days a week, with optional Sunday cleaning available. Guests must bring their own towels.
