The Tortoise Shell

The Tortoise Shell is a holiday home situated in the Marloth Park Conservancy. It has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The style of the home is rustic, providing a special bushveld experience, while also offering modern conveniences for an enjoyable stay.

The property features a large air-conditioned lounge area, an open-plan dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen. There is also a lovely undercover outdoor patio extending the entire length of the house. The kitchen is equipped with a modern five-plate gas/electric stove, a double-door industrial refrigerator with a freezer, a microwave, a dishwasher, and a washing machine.

Three of the bedrooms have queen-size hotel-style beds, while the fourth bedroom has two hotel-style single beds. All bedrooms are air-conditioned and have small double door cupboards, bedside tables with lamps, and USB ports. Bedding and towels are provided.

The home has a large boma next to the splash pool for outdoor braais, surrounded by a built-in bench with cushions for seating. There is also an undercover braai area and a separate wood-fired pizza oven. The home is equipped with suitable pots, pans, and a gas-fired pot broiler for outdoor cooking. The kitchen cupboards are on casters, allowing them to be wheeled outside, and the large veranda table can accommodate 10 people.

The home is fitted with two gas geysers, one supplying water to 1.5 bathrooms and the kitchen, and the other serving the second bathroom. Each bathroom has a large glass shower, and there is one bathtub. Daily servicing is provided, except on Sundays. The home is linked to Securicon Security Company and has a double carport.

Marloth Park is situated on the banks of the Crocodile River, bordering the Kruger National Park. Game roams freely through the Conservancy and can be spotted among the homes. Guests can access the Kruger National Park daily through the Malalane or Crocodile Bridge gates, both approximately 25km away. Please note that this is a malaria area.
